Welcome to Cobbes Meadow Riding and Driving Group
for the Disabled!
At Cobbes Meadow we are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of disabled individuals through the transformative power of horse riding and carriage driving.
Our charity is dedicated to providing therapeutic horse riding and carriage driving sessions to people with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities enabling them to experience the joys and benefits of equestrian activities.

Riding and driving helps improve co-ordination, balance, muscle development and fitness. They assist in the development of communication skills, confidence, trust and self-esteem. They enable our riders to acheive success in many areas through fun activities.

Our mission is simple - to empower individuals with disabilities to enhance their physical strength, improve their mental well-being and develop essential life skills, all in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. We firmly believe that every person, regardless of their abilities deserves the opportunity to discover the healing potential of horses.

Established in 1972, Cobbes Meadow has been at the forefront of riding and carriage driving for disabled people in our community. We have a team of qualified and experienced instructors, equine specialists and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the utmost care and attention for our riders and horses. Our flexible riding programmes are tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each participant, fostering a sense of achievement, independence and camaraderie among our participants.

At our fully equipped and accessible riding facility, riders, drivers and their families find a warm and welcoming atmosphere where they can form lasting friendships with our team and fellow participants.
We are committed to building a close-knit community that nurtures personal growth and celebrates the accomplishments of every individual who rides, drives and volunteers with us. We seek to make a difference, acheive goals and build confidence.
