Riding
At Cobbes Meadow RDA we believe in the incredible physical and social benefits that horse riding can provide. Our experienced team and gentle equine partners are here to embrace you on your journey.

We have group lessons and host children from local schools.

Riders can work towards different awards for their riding skills, whilst increasing their knowledge about horses.

Carriage Driving
Cobbes Meadow is one of the pioneer centres for carriage driving and it is an activity we have also enjoyed offering. We believe carriage driving helps increase forward thinking, co-ordination and balance, whilst giving a wonderful sense of freedom.

Participants have the opportunity to learn about basic horse care. An annual award is presented for the most improved driver.

Our carriage drivers learn to complete different courses marked with cones in the school. We also go for drives around the local roads and through the woods when the weather permits. When using the roads a lead cyclist guides the way so we cannot get lost.

Our standard carriage takes three people - the participant, the driving coach and the helper who holds the pony's head for safe boarding and leaving the carriage. Our wheelchair carriage takes four people as we have an extra volunteer onboard for safety. We have access to ramps and lifts to make boarding and leaving the carriage easy and smooth.

Participants have the opportunity to compete in local, regional and national competitions. Previously we have competed at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Recently, we have attended Le Trec competitions where the drivers show off their skills in a low pressure, fun environment.
